  • The house lights are solar powered and all rooms have lights.
  • There are no plug points, but there is a small USB charger.
  • Fridges, freezer and hot water are run off gas. (Gas is provided)
  • Hot and cold water – potable.
  • Linen (100% Cotton Percale) and Bath towels are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels.)
  • A basic First Aid kit is provided.
  • We remove your rubbish.
  • There is no cellphone reception at the cottage. You can get reception approximately 500m away. Vodacom works best.

  • Dover Stove / Oven. (Wood or anthracite fired.)

The “centre of attraction”, where people spend the most of their time, is the pool in front of the cottage.

Situated in an area rich in fauna, flora and freshwater fish species, GlenDonald Cottage has something for everyone:

  • Simply chilling on the deck or in the water.
  • Hiking – various distances and degrees of difficulty. (Special guided river trips and hikes can be arranged on request.)
  • Mountain Biking
  • Fishing – endemic species (Yellowfish & Sawfin) and Brown Trout – strictly catch and release!
  • Kloofing and river trips.
